Connect or disconnect?


The unmaintained underpass is often the most direct walking route to essential places: work, groceries, services, cultural venues. Connecting after dark can be scary and miserable. Government agencies, non-profits and other funders can heal the disconnect when it is re-envisioned as a stitch of light.

Last week, during the international LUCI Cities & Light Summit in London, presenters cited local citizen desires for “cozy”. Thus, Light Projects (LSLP) proposes transforming the often dismal underpass into a quintessential urban room.
